A new Tridium based system was installed replacing the existing Honeywell BMS system. The existing Honeywell controls and modules were stripped out and replaced with new controllers to cover the existing BMS points.
The existing networks and field devices were retained, This was designed to replicate the functionality of the previous system, and retain a similar look and feel for the benefit of the operators while simultaneously providing the benefits of a modern, fully supported, upgradable, open protocol BMs system.
Software strategy has been designed to control the plant previously controlled by the old Honeywell system. The control functionality has also been upgraded yet remains similar to the previous system. The user interface has been brought up to date utilising modern three dimensional computer graphics. However, the look and layout have deliberately been kept quite similar to the old Honeywell graphics in order to reduce the learning curve for maintenance staff.
